Program Description:
This training is designed to increase knowledge and awareness regarding the benefits and barriers of Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapies for mental health professionals.
Program Objectives:
· Participants will increase their knowledge & understanding regarding Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapies.
· Participants will increase their knowledge & awareness of Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy research for therapeutic treatment.
· Participants will increase their knowledge & understanding regarding harm reduction for therapeutic practice.
Participants will have an opportunity to hear the following presenters:
Kenton Bartlett, LPC, NCC with Kenton Bartlett Counseling. Kenton is a wealth of knowledge and has an extensive background working with Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapies. Kenton has been featured on CBS 42 News, Psychedelic Spotlight, The University of Alabama's Capstone Voices Podcast and several additional outlets discussing his knowledge, understanding, practice and expertise in working with Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapies for mental health.
David L. Barnhart, Ph.D, M.DIV, MA. NCC. Dave is a gift and will have an opportunity to speak with participants from personal experience. Dave has participated in studies through the John's Hopkins Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research. Dave's study was recently featured at Psychedelic Science 2023 to discuss their research findings. Dave is also a recent graduate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham's Mental Health Counseling program and a local pastor. Dave provides an insight that is invaluable to the field of Psychedelic Science and therapeutic work.
Fanicy Sears, LPC, LMFT, NCC. Fanicy has completed extensive trainings in MDMA Assisted Psychotherapy through the Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy through Polaris Insight Center and has recently participated in the Grof Legacy Training Project for Holotropic Breathwork. She will be sharing her experiences facilitating Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapies for individuals experiencing PTSD, Treatment Resistant Depression, Suicidality, Anxiety, Depression & Complicated Grief.
Participants will also receive (5) NBCC Approved Credit Hours.
Registration Fee is $150 before August 25, 2023 & $200 August 26th - September 10th, 2023.
